ABIT KN8

Well, I saw this in the hot deals section and on several other sites.

What are people's thoughts and experiances with this motherboard? I owned two KG7-RAIDs back in the day and loved them; just replaced them about four months ago.

I want to replace the current Wolverine (look in sig) with this MB and a maybe a A64 3500+ or another X2 3800+ (not sure yet) after the 7/24 price drops.

Pros, I see:
1) No real Speed Gain from AM2 vs 939.
2) CRAZY CHEAP
3) only used for one purpose; downloading don't need daul-core for that.

Cons:
1) already EOL'ed socket design

Thoughts, Ideas, and Random Comments?

I swapped an ASUS a8n-sli deluxe with the kn8-ultra in my sig and have been very pleased. Similar OC between the two, and somehow my 3dmark05 score went up almost 200 points when I switched to the kn8. Plus I had some weird issues in certain apps that resolved entirely with the new mobo. (I don't think it had to do with a new xp install as I tried that already with the asus)

So anyhow, :thumbsup: :thumbsup: for the kn8. Great price too - free shipping.

Bah, I just paid about $80 for my KN8 Ultra recently...
I'd prefer another board for overclocking though... Not enough dividers.

mine works great.. however my friend still had 10 FPS better then me in medal of honor and we had the exact same systems except his is a biostar and mine is the Abit KN8 and a different case.
