Hi
When I overclock my Athlon64 3200+ "Venice", my computer won't boot when I push the power-button after a regular shutdown.
My board, Abit KN8-Ultra, has newest BIOS revision 1.4.
CPU and chipsett are watercooled and the temps are very good.
Highest stable overclock is 280x10 = 2800MHz @ 1,6volts
Memory (OCZ PC3200 2X512MB) never runs above 200MHz, I use divider.
Of course I also make sure my HT-frequency never goes past 1000MHz.
"Warm reboot" works fine.
I have to clear CMOS before I can "cold"-boot, otherwise my Gainward GeForce 6800GS won't post, mobo won't post, no beeps, nothing...
When frequencies are set to "default", the computer boots fine every time I try!
If I want to overclock again, I have to rise the FSB in small increments, around 10-20MHz, otherwise it won't boot after saving changes to CMOS!
But still the computer can run smoothly at 2800MHz, as long as I don't shut it down.
Strange!
By the way I'm running WinXP Pro SP1, but that can't matter anyway.
