I just got my Abit KG7 and XP 1800 today along with 512mb of pc2100 ram.. anywho, the damn thing turns on like a normal, good system would, but it doesnt post. !! i need help, plz!!

i've tried booting w/ only a vga card and ram.. still no go.. and i've moved the ram to every slot .. pressing hard on everyone.. also, the kb lights dont blink when i turn it on..

when i first turned it on it, (the very first time) i saw the vga bios screen show up, but no normal bios, it shut off because i forgot to plug in the heatsink fan, it was on no more then 3 seconds.. since then i've got nothing no matter what i do..

1) clear the cmos by using the jumper.
2)Is the cpu fan plugged in the right header?
3) try pressing inset when it is booting up.

ok, here's the final story..

the heatsink came with this tape instead of goo, i (not paying attention) left one side of the tape untouched, as in, i forgot to take the little blue plastic covering off :p so, its definetly the cpu. i ordered another one, it should get here friday (hopefully). next time i will pay more attention and use goo instead of tape.. *orders some artic silver.. heh..
