Abit KG7 vs. mobo with VIA KT266A chipset?

Any input as to relative performance differences between an Abit KG7 with the AMD 761 + VIA 686B chipset and a mobo based on the VIA KT266A chipset (prolly Soltek SL-75DRV)?

Trying to decide whether to go with the KG7 for around $50 from compgeeks or spend a bit more on a KT266A based board. I know the KG7 has RAID but it's probably not that important a feature for me.

Tried to research on a couple of sites but didn't see a direct comparison and just starting to become more confused....

Thanks for any feedback!

The KT266A chipset does outpace the AMD 760/761, in terms of features, performance, etc. I'm prolly gonna go for the $50 deal just cause of price, and I don't yet have a DDR mobo. If u want max speed, go for a VIA KT266A (Abit KR7A?) or KT333 (MSI looks good...) mobo. Just what I would do.

Best bang for your buck is the Shuttle AK35GT2R board. You can get it for less than $99 and it has a 5.1 C-media sound card, and Highpoint raid.

It uses the KT333 chipset so the board will offer good power and last a long time.
