ABIT KG7 + S3 Savage4 problem

I don't know if my problem is mainly BIOS or if it is something else, but I have a KG7 mobo, and I just got a Savage4 video card (to hold me over till I can afford a better one), and the motherboard is not recognizing it's existence. i have a geforce that is mostly fried (still works but screen is screwed up), and that's what i'm using until i can figure out what the problem is. i thought it was just a bad video card, but i took it back to the retailer and they exchanged it for me. same problem with new card. i get a long beep and two short beeps when it boots up. exactly the same as if i try to boot up without any video card.
does anyone have any knowledge about this problem?
 
i guess i'll assume that since no one has responded to this thread, no one knows what might be causing my problem
 
i don't have anything else available... but the geforce still does work, just the screen isn't quite right. i have tried the geforce on other computers and it has the same problem.
like i said, i have tried two Savage4's and neither worked.
