Does anyone else have problems inserting DDR modules into the DIMM slots???

The first one I bought always had problems - you had to really jam the module into the slot to make it seat properly.

Then I RMA'd it because it wouldn't work right.

The replacement had the SAME problem. It REEKED of curry and the DIMM4 slot was looser than a drunken ho in Vegas.

I would POST, go into the Softmenu 3 bios and it would lock up all the time.

I think the CPU and Crucial PC2100 DDR are fine, it has to be the mobo.

The Abit kX7-333 i bought had SUPER TIGHT DIMM slots.

I had to use Herculean strength to make the DDRs lock in place. And when I ejected them, they FLEW out - I had to catch it in mid-air before it crashed down on the mobo!

Anyone else with KG7-RAID problems???

Both my original and replacement had V1.0 PCBs.

I have one of those boards. It seems to work fine. Only problem I had with it was with RAM... I overclocked the FSB to 155-160 or so with a bit of extra memory voltage (about 2.6v or so) and a stick of Crucial 256MB PC2100 died. Just out and died after it was working fine for a while.

wow

I usually use 2.75-2.85V for the memory voltage

but my FSB was 142 on the KG7-RAID and its 138 on the kX7-333
