ABIT KG7 mobo with athlon XP1900

I have the ABIT KG7 motherboard with an Athlon XP1900. By default it is running as an XP1500. With the bios setting of 13X multiplier at 100mhz. If I try to run it at any other setting, even if i just change the fsb speed to 101mhz it will not post. I have to clear the cmos in order to even start the computer. I have two 512mb sticks of Mushkin 2100 ddr ram. I'm thinking that the ram might be the problem. Any suggestions?
