ABIT KD7 mobo.....upgrading CPU....advice?

i have an xp 1700+ rite now w/256mb ddr 2100......bout to upgrade to 512mb ddr 3200.....which cpu?....barton?....thoroughbred?....2800+?....2600+?....3000+?.....what is the sweet spot right now?.....thnx

I would go to newegg.com a get a Barton 2500 with fan and a 512mb stick of Kingston HyperX PC3200

Make sure that hyperx will work in your board; also read the reviews on it at newegg. I would check kingston's site for compatibility but if it's OK what a sweet choice.

I likes my 2400+ and such a nice price at newegg - I no longer game, I just stare into my lit computer case staring at the processor/heatsinkfan lovingly -

wsup w/this kingston hyperx stuff???....is it supposedly great or something....?.....not read alot of reviews of it.....benchies or comparisons of some kind vs. the likes of samsung or corsair????....thnx
