Abit KD7 and Barton 2500+

I have an Abit KD7 and am running an 2200+ right now, but want to upgrade it to a Barton 2500+ or something around that (need to keep is affordable). How are the current week chips performing when overclocked (or is there somewhere I can get a really good performer???)

Also, is hte KD7 a decent choice for trying to OC a 2500+ or other higher end AMD chip? If it's not I will go with a lesser chip (or stick with my 2200+, if needed).

Any help is appreciated.....

they are all practically guaranteed to hit 2800+, vast majority hit 3000+, very likely it's do 3200+

the KD7 has a 6 divider right? should be ok with the 2500+ then...

Isn't this the board visible_assassin runs? You might search for him and if it is, get his advice; he's done some amazing overclocks.

Thanks for the info. I think I will get the 2500+.

One other question.... A Volcano 9 should work fine with it, right?
