abit ka7 thermal sensor

i have an athlon 750 @ 950 on an abit ka7 mobo.. but the thermal sensor on the ka7 always says -27 degrees C and if i put it on the CPU, i get a -1 C... my room temp is around 20-23 so i would say that it is -50 degrees off... i have the latest bios updates and tried switching the probe around.... still doesnt work... does anybody know how to deal with this?
