abit ka7-100 motherboard

Just build me a new computer using the ka7-100 motherboard and have 2 hard drives in it. The new one is 40 gig western digital and the other one is 13 gig western digital. We loaded the high point drivers for it and some times it will not find the new 40 gig hard drive , but if you hit control alt delete it will then find the drive , was wondering if any one else any similar problem. The computer seems to be running real stable when getting it to see the new drive. The computer has sound blaster live, tnt 2 video card and runing external modem,Kenwood 72x cd rom, hp 91001 cdrw,250mb zip drive and have Corsair 256 meg of ram. If anyone has run into this lpese let me know , thanks for any replys Gary
 
how are the drives hooked up(what ide ports and if on same or differnt cables, also are the drives set for master and slave or cable select?
