Abit IX38 onboard sound

Anyone know what onboard soundcard this has? Is it good enough for 7.1 analog output for Blu Rays? Or am i better off going with a DS4? Should i just scrap the onboard sound all together? I am using this thing for an HTPC and gaming rig.

Your P35-DQ6 and the X38-DS4 have ALC889a, which is slightly better than ALC888. If you want to beat that, you'd have to get a ~$100 soundcard.
 
Hmmm I like the features on the IX38 so much, but buying another sound card would be a pain.

I do love those auzentech cards though. Baaa tough decision.
