I'm building a new rig, and this memory is too cheap for me to say no to since I'm low on cash.

Here are the specs for the IS7 mobo. Assuming I get two identical chips, anyone see any reason this cheap memory wouldn't work with that board in Dual Channel mode?

Yes, I know that cheap memory can sometimes bite you in the ass, but $34 versus the usual $65 is too tempting not to try.

Edit: DOH...abit, not asus.

Memory isnt something to go cheap on.....Buying cheap memory = bad. But its your system. Ive never seen any benchmarks on dcc house brand, which usualy means its not worth benchmarking..Get crucial if you need good memory at cheap prices.

Hey AirGibson welcome to the forums,

Might edit Asus to Abit in thread title.

Do you intend to OC??

This warning from their page would be enough for me to purchase namebrand.
Please check your motherboard specification for memory type before you purchase it. It is not our responsibility for any incompatibilities for the system and memory. Customer will be responsible to return the memory for exchange or credit. In addition, the shipping and handling fee is not refundable and 15% restocking fee will apply to all returns. Thank you.

I would suggest you check Hot Deals and ForSale/Trade forums for quality Ram,

Check out this also, as you may find your answer here. Hope this helps :)

My recommendation is don't skimp on the memory. Get good memory modules, like from Crucial or Corsair or Kingston

Crucial PC3200 it a good choice, if u want most bang for the $$$ unless your o/c
