My external (Creative Extigy) sound card recently decided to crap out on me. Unfortunately, the warranty for it is no longer valid. Naturally, I plugged in my speakers to the Onboard sound on the motherboard. However, there are a number of issues that I'm having with it.

1. The sound is reversed from the left and the right.
2. There is an annoying high pitched sound that won't go away.
3. Whenever the processor is "moving" the sound gets distorted.

What I have attempted to fix/make sense of this problem:

1. Newest Bios.
2. Did a full uninstall of the audio drivers then reinstalled updated drivers.
3. Tried my roommate's pci sound card - no problems whatsoever.

I know my onboard sound issues are bearable, (ie: i can manually switch left and right and can tolerate the staticy sound) but I'd definitely like to do something about it without having to shell out the bucks for a new sound card. I'd like to know if these issues I'm having could be grounds for a RMA as my mobo is still under the warranty. Do you all think Abit would accept it?

Thanks in advance for the advice.
