Periodically the fan will start making a warbling type sound and loose quite a bit of speed. I'm going to assume its dying because I've heard of alot of these problems on Abit boards and I've had it for around a year. Any advice? I can tap it when it makes the noise and slows down and it'll get reseated and act normally...does this mean that maybe just lubricating it would help? Or are the bearings going etc.

I use a freeware program called Speedfan to control my NB fan on my Abit IC7. I now run the speed at 3500rpm all of the time instead of the stock 6000rpm. I can't here that fan anymore and it will probably last longer by reducing the revolutions. The sink is cool to the touch too.....very happy now!
