Hey all,
Just put together a rig with an Abit IP35-e, Corsair VX550w, and WD SE16 640GB.
Unexpectedly, I heard a snap when I slipped the SATA data and power lines into my new WD SE16 640. I noticed that the two plugs do not sit well next to each other; when I pulled them out, the plastic L-shaped key for the power pins fell off as well (man, do I miss PATA + 4-pin molex? or are hdd's these days getting fragile!) and more plastic shaved off when I removed the data line (haha, my fault - dang retention clips on the SATA line (i feel old...)).
Anyways, have any of you had/haven't had this problem using the Abit-supplied SATA cables and this PSU with this particular hdd?
Thoughts/advice? (I only ask because I don't have a plain-Jane SATA cable laying around, and this hdd was the last component of my rig 🙁 that I was waiting for)
