Hi guys i want to buy a motherboard and i saw that IPE35-E Has great reviews and it's within my budget. However i looked on Mwave and the ABIT IP35 is for 120 and there is a $25 Rebate on it so now i am confused which one to buy since it's the same company and same mobo except for few features but somehow the IP35 has some bad reviews on NEWEGG. So anyone who has experience with both of this mobo can you tell me which one should i go for. Because there is only $10 diff between them and IP35 is as good as the E version than i rather go for that since it would have more features.

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Same board. IP35 adds RAID, 1394a, and two more SATA ports. NewEgg may post a $20 rebate on IP35-E, making it $70 or lower.

I have a question about the IP35-E.

I'm assembling pieces for my first build and I've liked what I've read about the IP35-E, except for one thing. I've read that the original bios had some major(?) issues like double boot so I was thinking do they still ship with the same bios than half a year ago or the latest? I'm just not too keen on the idea of updating bios as it seems a bit tricky for my taste :D :(

Sorry for not contributing to your original post.

The board will most likely ship with Bios 11. Yes, that one does have the double post issue but it is also very stable. Bios 12 is equally stable and gives the fastest overall performance in benchmarks but still has the double post problem.

TBH, I wasn't bothered at all. The "problem" is way overrated IMO. The issue is resolved with Bios 14 (unless you pull power cord from your PSU or make changes to Bios settings).

Invest in a $6 floppy drive - useful for flashing Bioses the safe way, as well as running memtest86 the easy way.

the board will ship with the latest release BIOS at the time that the mobo was originally manufactured & shipped.
It's impossible to say therefore what BIOS will be on the 1 that you get from wherever you buy it but it's easy to flash to the latest if you wish to.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

We'll see which bios it has then when I get it and how it works. Who knows, maybe it's time to learn updating BIOS then. I do have a floppy drive but I wasn't originally planning on plugging it in to the new build.
