I'm not sure if this is the right subforum to post this in, so if not please feel free to move it.
I am looking to hook up my Palit 9600GT to the SPDIF header on my Abit IP35 motherboard.
Now every internal SPDIF cable I have seen is always 2 pin to 2 pin.
However, looking at the manual for my Abit IP35, it has 4 pins listed, 3 of which are used.
The lay out is...
Pin 1 - VCC (5 Volt)
Pin 2 - x (meaning nothing there of course)
Pin 3 - S/PDIF Out
Pin 4 - Ground
So here is a link to an Ebay auction selling one of the cables. It has the 2 pin on one end to go to the video card, and two separated pins on the other end, one for ground and one for SPDIF.
Link
Am I just being stupid here and wondering why there is no VCC cable?
