ABIT IP35 PRO + TRUE IMAGE ???

I used to use Acronis True Image with range of motherboards. It has always worked well and quickly. Now, I have Abit IP35 Pro. No matter which version of True Image I try it always shows HDD as having UNKNOWN interface. I can backup/restore images but it takes forever to do it. It went from 5-6 minutes on GA965 to 1.5 hrs with ABIT.

Any help/commnets from IP35 PRO users that use Ture Image

Which version of TI are you using, and are you using sata or ide drives, or both?

I've used it with no problems on my Pro. TI Version 11 build 8053, using all SATA drives.

V10 4042. All SATA drives.
I've tried 11 demo boot CD, but it has same issues.

Version 10 doesn't support the jmicron controller very well. Version 11 adds support for the controller and using it I had no problems with it and the ip35 pro motherboard with either type drive.

I'm not sure what the 'demo cd' refers to...if you download the 30-day trial program, create a rescue cd, you should have no problem.

I use version 11 Home with no problems.

If you're using Vista, version 11 is the way to go.

I had to get an updated image from Acronis in order to be able to boot from CD to do a backup/restore since I have Workstation 9.1 it has problems with the SATA/Raid controller(s). The new image worked fine for booting into it. So I still do backups from windows and that works ok with 9.1.
