I took My PC to a friends house to aid in repairing his... and it seems ever since, the second set of DIMM slots are deader than a doornail... I have the crucial ballistix tracer so it's esy to tell because they dont light up. I've also tried regular ballistix and OCZ platnum...no good, they dont read at all as if they werent even there... I've even tried flashing an older bios to no avail... board is out of the case on a wooden desk right now to rule out anything electrical shorting...
I've tried different voltages to all related settings also. I hate having such nice ram and being stuck in single channel..but with abits motherboard division going under (how did somebody who made such great boards do that anyway?) I stand little chance of a succesful RMA, even the links to do so seem to be gone from the abit site...
Has anyone experienced such an issue or can point me to something along the lines of a OC/modders related forum that can get me in the right direction? I'm not afraid of a soldering iron if needed, but it would appear abits own forum is dead and gone so here I am.
thanks for your help folks...

they didn't, they decided to step away as they couldn't get the return on investment that they wanted. Given that even Asus is expected to report a major operating loss this quarter they are probably congratulating themselves on that decision right now ...

as for your problem, you've obviously checked to see if there is any obvious broken traces?

as best as my eyes can do on a blue board with blue traces anyway...
I'm thinking, since I've posted on multiple forums and noone has anything similar going, it's a NB issue or fried transistor keeping power from the slots.. one that I'll have to live with until new motherboard time :(
