Abit IP35 Pro CPU Speed Incorrect

Hi all,

I just upgraded to an Abit IP35 Pro from an Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus. New build went fine with no problems or driver issues. However, I notice that the default clock speed for my CPU (C2D E6700) is showing as 2720MHz instead of 2667. Likewise, my RAM is showing as DDR2 812. The BIOS shows the default bus speed as 272, which explains the clock speeds shown. However, I can't get the board to run the CPU & memory at their rated speeds. If I try to enter the bus speeds manually, I can get close, but not exact. Do I have a bad board here?

No, abit mobos usually have ~2% overclock out of the box.
Similarly with things like spread spectrum etc. it's not unusual to not be able to get exactly the rated speed.
It won't make any difference whether your CPU is 2665 etc. instead of 2667.
