Abit IP35 Pro bolt mod question?

I have a Abit IP35 Pro and am doing the Bolt Mod do I remove all the factory TIM? The posting says they did, was just curious if everyone else did too?

What's the purpose of the mod?

To cool things down from the increased pressure.

I've had good luck with mine and haven't had to mess with the heatpipes, but I've heard of many others with complaints about the tim on these mobos. I would remove it and reapply as or some other high-quality compound just to be on the safe side.

I just straightened the frame and cleaned and replaced some paste. Some parts had the thermal pads and by straightening the frame the contact area increased.

Mine wasn't too bad.

I also used nylon hardware to reinstall.
