Abit IP35-E with Zalman 9700?

I have a IP35-E on the way. I am wondering if my Zalman 9700 will work or do I need to start looking for a new HSF?

It will at least fit if you're willing to orientate it blowing towards the top of your case. The northbridge heatsink is rather high and close to the CPU socket so it may not fit as it is if you want to orientate it blowing towards the rear of your case. I can only say that I had to cut some of the fins on my BTF-90 to make it fit in this orientation and it has a 92mm fan. 9700 has a 110mm fan so I'd think you need to make some modifications as well. Or you can just go for the other orientation. Or maybe it just fits in any way, don't really know 😀
