I am purchasing a new computer for a customer using the following specs and i'd like to know what the recommended memory is for this setup. I'm not going to be overclocking, i just need it to be stable and fast.

Abit ic7 - new
p4 3.06 HT 533 fsb - new
ATI AIW 9700 Pro - from a current system
Antec True550 - new
WD SE 80 gb - new
Audigy 2 - from a current system

I was leaning towards 2 sticks of these from newegg

CORSAIR MEMORY XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series 512MB 64MX64 PC-3200C2PT With Platinum - Silver Heat Spreader OEM

$108.50

Anybody running this setup and can vouch for it's compatibilty? The processor is only 533FSB, but i'd like to have the memory if he wanted an 800FSB in the future. Thanks for your responses

I'm running my IC7-G with Kingston HX PC3500. I paid $119.00 per 512MB stick at Newegg but I saw a post here that showed it now at $109.00, I think it was Googlegear?
I think you're better off with the PC3500 (434Mhz), the HX is rated 2-3-3-7 at that speed.
With the 533FSB P4s it probably won't matter but I plan on buying an 800 FSB P4 asa the prices are lower-people seem to be getting 250+FSB with these chips and the PC3500 should give a little more headroom when OC than the PC3200.

I'm using HyperX PC3500 in my IC7 and it has been great. I recommend either Kingston HyperX PC3500 or Mushkin PC3500, those two are the best you can buy now.
