Hi All,
I am trying to get RAID0 running on my IC7-G and have run into problems. I hope someone who has done this successfully can help...here is what I have done so far
1. Plugged HDDs into the connectors marked SATA1 and SATA2 with the jumper set to master on the physical drived
2. In the BIOS I selected the following:
Integrated Peripherals -> Onchip IDE Device ->
OnChip Serial ATA Mode = RAID
SATA RAID ROM = Enabled
Onchip Serial ATA = Enhanced Mode
Advanced BIOS Features ->
Hard Disk Boot Priority = Press Enter
Bootable Add-In Device = Onchip SATA RAID
Now here are the symptoms.
1. I do not see the drives listed in the BIOS screen "Standard CMOS Features" under IDE Channel 1 Master / Slave, which is where I expected to see them. It does show my DVD drive correctly attached to IDC Channel 2 Master on this BIOS page though.
2. After rebooting, they do not show up in the IDE device list but when the Intel RAID BIOS comes up they are there and are both listed as Non-RAID disks but at least they are recognised. Now I was under the impression that the next thing to do was to press CTRL-I at this screen to set up a RAID device but no matter how many times I press CTRL-I at this screen it does nothing. I am feeling really stupid here so can someone please put me out of my misery...
