ABIT IC7-G MAX 3

I bit and will try it! I called them to verify that it was actually IN STOCK and he verified that it was?

The MAX 3 is very sweet and should OC like a champ 😉 ... It is the mobo I was waiting on, but ended up purchasing a refurb IC7-G with all accessories instead from NewEgg for $131.00 shipped. 🙂 EDIT: It even came with the new style Northbridge HSF.

cobrasvt Keep us posted on how your MAX 3 works out.... If I had the extra $$ one would be in my cart for sure.. 😀

When the A7N8X Deluxe first came out it was around $170. Personally if I was going for a Intel system I would take it 😀 However do all of the S-ATA Controllers have the full bandwidth they need? Not on the crapmed PCI Bus?

I actually canceled my order yesterday morning, but later found out that it wa really a ploy with GameVE and that it wasn't actually in stock! Boy do I hate vendors that do that!

Anyhow, I decided to keep my P4C800-E Deluxe! It doesn't have the 255fsb 1:1 limit as the IC7-G does, and my 2.4C runs night and day at 275fsb @ 1:1 with OCZ PC4000! I am about to do the vdimm mod tonight on it to get more juice so I can run at 285 1:1!

I think I will hold off a little while on the IC7-G 3 and see how things pan out with (my gut is telling me that the 40mm OTES fan is probably a little annoying, but we'll see?



 
that why i like amd you can get a nice mobo and a barton for 200$. intels mobos are going for as much as mobo an proc.
