Just a quick message to any of you who are thinking of flashing your Hpt370 based abit hotrod pro card.
The information in abits manual is completely out of date. It neglects to tell you that you have to tell the load.exe program what kind of bios chip you are flashing. To make matters much worse abit sticks an 'abit' sticker over the relevant info on the bios chip.
Make sure you get this sorted before you try to flash or you may end up with a dead card looking for new bios chip! Thats what happened to me!
I have never had a problem with abit manuals and labelling before (I have a BP6 mobo) but this is total cock up on abits part.
Take care
