Abit gurus, need help, abit kt7a-raid, 1.2 ghz

Just installed a abit kt7a-raid with 1.2 ghz t bird. into antec sx1030
video card : 16 mb Diamond Monster
Mem: 128 mb pc133 cas2 micron

cooling: alpha pal6035, 4 case fans

when I turn on the power all fans run and system beeps continously and shuts down in 5 secs
nothing comes on the screen,
what could be wrong?

please help,



edit: got it, connected the heat sink fan to header 2 instead if 1

Could it be the Mhz for AGP too much for the Diamond Monster, as the card is a bit out-of-date.

I had a weird problem with an ABIT SH-6 and a TNT2-M64 card. The two would not work together no matter what. But that MB worked fine with a GeForce2MX. And the TNT2-M64 worked fine on both the BP6 and the KT7-100 which I also have.

Another thing maybe you should check is the power supply. If you have 250W or less and you are running 4 fans, maybe not enuf juice....

Try to get another video card to see if it fixes your problems....that's where I would start.

look at the bottom part of my first message,
simple mistake. you have to connect the cpu fan to fan header 1 on MOBO.

right now it is booting up 10X multiplier and 145 FSB (1450mhz). need to load OS and test this sucker.
