I have a motherboard that isn't responding. I've had it for about a year and a half. I'm thinking about sending it in to Abit's eRMA service.

Can you folks tell me about the service? How long did it take to get your stuff back? Did it cost anything extra? (I will probably be able to find my reciept)

Thanks!

1.5 years? It's not covered under warranty anymore. When I RMA'd my KT7A RAID mobo, under warranty, they wouldn't take it until I filed with the BBB. I now stay away from abit.

Abit just came out with a new "Boundryless Support" thing.

Here's the deal:
If your product is within two (2) years from the original date of manufacturing, or one (1) year from the original date of purchase, whichever is longer for Motherboards. and you have the invoice of original purchase with you and your product is still within that period, we will take care of your repair for you absolutely FREE. In case you lost your invoice or your product is beyond this period for free labor service, then you will have to write a check for USD $25.00. to ABIT Computer USA to cover the labor and associated handling costs.

So, hopefully my motherboard is covered within the 2 years of manufacturing.

Has anyone here had any experience with Abit's Boundryless Support system?
