Abit BX6 v2.0 - old school

After trying 2 different brand new wireless pci network cards (Belkin and Netgear) and Windows not detecting the cards or the bios when the PC is starting up I have come to a conclusion that it may be the motherboard. Has anyone had problems with older Abit boards and wireless networking? It's really beginning to bother me that I cannot get my other machine on the network.

Does the BIOS not see any new PCI device, or just not what you're expecting?
