hey,
anyone know what's the fastest P3 i can put in this mobo? On the site it says 700 Mhz, but i'm sure it can take higher. I saw an earlier post of someone putting a P3 800(100) in, how's that working? And of course i'm interested in overclocking, BX133 here we come...

with the latest bios flash it will except upto a 153 bus and a 9 multiplier. lets say you buy a p3 800 (100) and set the bus to 133 with a multiplier of 8, im sure itll reach 1Ghz.

Hmm, I have a PI700 in a BX6. Overclocking seems to suck in this board. The CPU would do 112 on just about anyother board but this one. ie BH6, BE6-II and a generic Luckystar BX board.

I did a search awhile back when I wanted to go from a 300a@450 to a p3 cpu in my bx6r2 and I believe someone said it can do 900mhz easy or 950. Now that I'm thinking about it, I believe it was 900mhz, but I didn't get a 900mhz because they're hard to find and a lot more expensive. I settled with a p3-850 (s370) and it worked like a charm. If you do upgrade your processor, make sure to flash the bios BEFORE you upgrade it. Usually when you upgrade the bios it adds support for the newer processors.

Enjoy!
