Hi friend,

I m using the above hardware and wondering if it will cause any problem in the future since the celeron 633Mhz is using 0.18 micro
technology but i think the Abit MB just support 0.25 micro technology. So, what do u think ? Thanks !

Regards,
Spec

ha, i m using Abit slocket too !! but when I set the clock speed to 66Mhz, and reboot it again, it showed 650E Mhz .....why ? and a message displaying that "the CPU is unoverclockable". In addition, what voltage do u set to ? Do u set it on the slocket or with the softmenu ? Thanks !

start by flashing your bios
Is that cpu voltage runing at over 2v right now(notsure how much voltage the p2 core celerons used 2.0 or 2.1 I think) you wil probably fry it you need to run it at 1.85 MAX

dontchange any jumpers on the slocket! use the soft-menu and all you need to change is the "external clock" to 100 and the "agpclk/cpuclk" to 2/3 and put the voltage to 1.85v and if that works then reboot and go down 1 step at a time on voltage until you have problems, then go back up 1 step...

but the problem is that I don't have a decent cooling system....so i just need to set it to 633Mhz first for now and i will satisfy for this. But the problem is that it always show 650E Mhz.....what show I do to rectify it to 633Mhz ? Thanks !

I think what Scrubman is saying is cold hearted fact. Take it up one step at a time. Don't play with the jumpers on the Slotket. The heat on the CPU grows gradualy over some time. You should get a good heatsink and a couple of fans. Mabey even think about a side mount case fan. Kinda like cut a whole in the side of your case and place a good fan that blows accross your CPU and Video card.

set jumpers back to default if you changed them and it will probably boot up at 633Mhz.. if not then set clock to 66 and agp to 1/1 and volts to 1.65 :) ::Q:|:p:disgust:;):D:)
