Abit BX6-II maximum cpu speed? 566->850? 600->900?

These are probably FAQs, but I can't seem to find a clear answer anywhere.

1) What is the max that an ABIT BX6 2.0 mobo will recognize assuming I have the newest bios? The ABIT site indicates 700MHz, but I seem to see people mentioning getting 850 on theirs.

2) What is the success rate of oc'ing an Cerelon 566 to 850? I want to get an idea of how much of a crap shoot it really is.

3) ditto for Celeron 600 to 900?

4) given that I currently have a 300a oc'd to 450 on a BX6 2.0 mobo, are these reasonable upgrade options?

I'd like to get as much life out of this mobo as possible.

thanks,
bob

a: The Bios will "Automatically" Dectect up to a 700Mhz PIII - 100MHZ FSB version
(PIII-700E) and the 633MHZ Celeron.
HOWEVER - you can use the "user defined" settings for up to a PIII 850E (or a
900E if you can find one). You can also use the 133MHZ variety device but you
lose a lot of headroom for overclocking. Celerons up to 633 will be
recognized "automatically". As I recall, the last version of the bios
supports up to 9.5 multipliers. "User Defined" settings as usual for
overclocking.

a: Check Overclockers.com for the overclocking data. From what I've read here, it
looks pretty promising.

a: ditto.

a: If you have PC133 memory and your graphics card can tolerate the overclocked
bus, a PIII-700E overclocked to 933 is a better option.

Though not "officially supported" my PIII-800E @ 936 MHZ is rock solid.

Thanks for the info! It's much appreciated.

I looked at the database you mentioned and it looks like a lot of people are being successful. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell me how many failures people experience. I'd like to get an idea if the success rate is 10%, 50%, 90%, or ???
