Abit BX6-2 and SB Live! Problem

After flashing the BIOS on my Abit BX6-2 to version QR, I now get a B.S.O.D. after my network login screen. The message reads something like this:

"A fatal exception error OE has occurred at 0028:C1590D4B in vxd emu10k1(01)+0000B7FB. The current application will be terminated. Press ENTER to continue . . ."

After booting to the desktop I get a similar message whenever a sound should be played. I have Liveware! 3.0 installed. If I copy over the emu10k1.vxd file in the C:\windows\system directory with the one from Liveware! 1.0 the B.S.O.D. goes away, but then Creative Launcher does not let me choose the speakers correctly. I have removed the soundcard and drivers and reinstalled them, but this did not fix the problem.

Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have a Coppermine processor? Make sure that you upgrade to the latest drivers that were released after LiveWare 3.0.

Many people seem to have problems w/ getting the SB Live! to work with Abit mobo's on the first try. Here's what I've tried, and eventually suceeded in getting it installed.

-try seating the card in other PCI slots, the mobo is very picky.
-disable the Highpoint controller (if you're not using it)
-make sure you have the latest bios and drivers

Thanks for the info. I downloaded and installed the latest sb live! drivers and the B.S.O.D. messages are gone. I guess I should have mentioned that I also upgraded the processor from a Celeron 366 @ 550 to a Celeron 566 @ 850. Why does the Cu chip mess things up?

The only other thing I need to fix is how to "auto hide" the creative launcher. "Auto hide" is checked, but greyed out. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks again.
