Re: MikeWarrior

Yeah, I just went and bought the BF-6 (b/c I sold my BX-6 Rev. 2).

It has much more features as compared to the BX-6 R2 but I found it less stable than my older board.

I purchased another C2 566 yesterday @ Reseda, slapped it into the older BX-6 and I was able to oc it to 952 @ 1.7. Today, bought the BF-6, swapped mobos, slapped the same C2 from yesterday and it needs at least 1.75 to be stable at only 850 :Q.

I couldn't believe it. Well, I can believe it now after reading all the complaints re: Abit boards.

I had a choice of the BH-6 or the BF-6. I figured lets try out the BH's successor.

The feature set on this board is pretty decent. I was so used to the BX-6's SoftMenu II that when I booted up and went into the SoftMenu III menu, I was amazed at all the settings. The thermistor is pretty decent, too. I'll slap that into the GF2 MX core later on today, when I go pick it up.

Also, this may be a glitch in the temperature monitoring, but my CPU temps is read 25C. I'm using Abit's Slotket !!!

I had a BF6 before, it worked fine for me(550E cA2 o/c to 758 or so).

But now that i've started using Asus and Soyo boards, I somewhat understand why some dislike abit with a passion 🙂
