I just attempted to boost the performance of an ABIT BM6 system running a celeron 400 by switching in a PIII 600. The system won't post and I have no documentation on this mobo (not much on ABIT site either). Am I asking to much of this board? Or since it won't post (no video) am I locked out of the adjustments in bios that would enable this CPU?

Never mind - I withdraw the question. I should have done a little more research before asking. My PIII 133 MHZ Bus. BM6 is 66MHZ Bus celeron only apparently.

I have a BM6 system still running - great motherboard. It's not just a Celly board, but it will not run the later generation Celeron's w/o an adapter. I was just reading this post the other day here, included a link to this guy's page where he somehow sodered some pins on the CPU and made the BM6 compatible with a 133 FSB - pretty cool, I think it was running a 1.2g celeron or something like that?
