ABIT BM6; What are the fastest Celeron II or PIII for this MB.

is that a slot 1 board? you can usually use a fc-ppga cpu on a slot 1 board by using a slocket. you'll have to get the latest m/board bios & hope that it will recognise the cpu though!

The BM6 can use cB0 stepping (1.5 volts) Celeron IIs at least up to 600 MHz. Ihe rev 1.03 board (color coded cnnectors) can be modified by adding a single jumper to accept the cC0 (1.7 volt) Celeron IIs.

The voltage adjustment will be limited to 1.7 volts max with the cB0 Celeron without the use of the "rise of abit" program or an additional jumper on the MB cpu socket.
