I'm still running a BM6, rev2, with a Celly at 800. Back a few months ago there was a debate about whether the PIII would work in this board. Now that PIIIs are becoming more affordable, I would like to make the move to a 600 or 650E and overclock it to 800-850 (I know, the final clock speed is the same as I've got, but I run Photoshop and the PIII kicks serious butt on the Celly here). BUT I don't want a new mobo... I'll wait till the DDRAM dust settles before making that move.

SO... will it work or not?

i asked the same question a month ago, everyone said NO it would not work, so i said screw abit and intel and got a MSI Pro2A and a duron.

Go to POWERLEAP's website and check out the NEO adaptor they make. Supposedly it will allow the use of the PIII on the BM6. They have a data base of customer responces who have BM6,PIII,NEO adaptor and no problems.
