I've still got my trusty BH6 from Celeron 300a days and just found a PIII 1GHz (Slot 1) that I'd like to put on it. I have the v1.1 model that has all the extra FSB settings and extra features that the original BH6 1.0 didn't. Anyone know if my board supports a PIII 1GHz? I know it'll be running at 133MHz FSB, so I know I"ll be running out of the 440BX spec of 100MHz, but will the board even support it if overclocked using the 133MHz FSB?

Anyone know if this board has a 1/4 PCI divider?

Thanks guys!

As I understand it, the late model bh6 has a hidden automatic 1/4 pci divider at 133fsb. The agp divider remains at 2/3, though, giving 89mhz which many vidcards won't tolerate. Memory is an issue, as well, although most cl2 pc100 will run cl3 at 133fsb...

As to whether or not the board will recognize the cpu properly, i really don't know. might require some kind of pin taping trick- let the board see it as a p3-750, overclock it in the bios.

If that processor isn't dirt cheap, you'd do well to read oldfart's post in the overclocking forum about using a 1.4 tualatin celeron on a special slotket- looks like the way to go to me....
