I have an old BH6 and I got a PIII 600EB I'd like to use in it. I downloadd the bios update for the PIII 600E and I set my "slocket" for a 100 bus spd. All I can get to work is 450E, all attempts a 600 give me a CPU unworkable message.

Is the BH6 not worth fooling with? or is there a way to get a bit more power from the 600?

thanks

Robert

2 problems here...

1st under the cpu settings menu disable cpu hold error...

2nd that is BX chipset which only supports 100fsb not 133fsb... (the AGP will be at 89mhz...)

you are either going to have to run it at 450mhz, get a new motherboard, or get a 100mhz FSB PIII chip. The old BX chipset cannot run a 133mhz PIII (some will let you overclock a 100 mhz chip to 133mhz, but your AGP bus will be real high & your video card may not like it).
