I just purchased a C2 600 for my BH6, ver 1.01. Latest bios installed ss, but it won't post. Could it be the slocket converter? It says PPGA on the package, I'm wondering if it doesn't support FC-ppga?

THanks for the assistance.

The BH6 1.0X versions don't support the VRM 8.4 standard that the fc-pga processors need so a VRM 8.4 compliant slocket is needed.

edit- I agree with compuwiz, the MSI Master slocket is one of the best.

Yep, you probably don't have the right slotket. Get FCPGA compatible and you should be set. MSI Master is a good one, where the Abit version is flaky.

Picked up an Asus one at the local store. Works great, go the C2 600 up to 900. ;)
