Ran overclocked at 450mhz w/ voltage of 2.2v from Feb99 till yesterday w/ no problems
Here is the problem:
Moved and opened machine with the goal of adding a WD 30.7G HD, a Acer CD-RW drive and 64mb of PC100 memory from PNY technologies. After opening, I have had problems getting the machine to POST. Machine was not dropped and I had not added any hardware.
After about 50 or so hard starts, the machine finally posted. I was then able to install the CD burner and back up all my vital files and then proceeded to install the extra RAM. Again, this required multiple hard starts to get through the POST sequence, even after resetting the BIOS to the original 233(66) settings.
All cables were checked for tight connections and even reseated the memory and cards.
Does this sound like a dying MB or user error?
btw - I haven't flashed the BIOS since purchasing the board in Jan 99.
Thanks
