Hey, Im building a new system. First one. Im going to be using a P4, obviously, and I was told with this motherboard I will be able to run Pc2700 DDR ram. I want to get 2 512 sticks, well take a look and tell me if I can with some tweaks, and whether or not this is a good mobo. I don't want something cheap.

It is a very good motherboard. I have a P4 1.6A and a stick of 512 MB 2700.
The i845G will provide better support (unofficial, but in the hardware) for DDR333 than i845E (no hardware), even though both chipsets have been capable of reaching 366 and greater, with BIOS dividers. As I understand, however,
an i845G (DDR333) is faster than an i845E (DDR333). The Abit BIOS doesn't offer better advantages than say other
overclockable i845G boards.

i845G is totally the way to go.
As far as which board, pick one from a manufacturer you are familiar with (for me, it was Abit or Asus)

This is a great board I have my 1.6A at 2.7ghz and 1.54V

This board has plenty of overclocking features such as pci lock which is great

You can find this board for under $130 so why not get it.
