Hello,

I've been running 1,6A P4 @ 2133MHz for some time now. Rock stable, when I'm using the integrated video. But once I toss in my GeForce 4 card, I start getting odd lock-ups after loading WinXP. Everything works at 1600MHz stock speed, but this CPU can do 2133MHz with ease, so what could cause the crashing when using GF4 card? Voltage lines are ok, so it shouldn't be the cause. I'm guessing the Intel drivers could cause issue like this?

Any thoughts?

thanks

Are your PCI/AGP speeds fixed @ 33/66? Because if they are not, you are maybe running 44/88 and this is certainly too much for GF4.

Read off what your bios settings are in the overclocking bios page. This is the page that lets you set Vcore and DDR V.

Read off that page and i can help you a little.

Lets see:

133MHz FSB
16x multiplier
PCI/AGP: fixed 33MHz(also tried 4=>33/66MHz)
H/W Strap: Low
CPU/Memory divider: 3:4(tried also 1:1, no effect)

Vcore: 1,55V(tried up to 1,65V without luck)
Vmem: 2,5V

try these settings
133MHz FSB
16x multiplier
PCI/AGP: fixed 33MHz(also tried 4=>33/66MHz)
H/W Strap: high
CPU/Memory divider:1:1

Vcore: 1,65
Vmem:2.7V

Low strap will not work right unless you have the latest bios update.

If its stable at these voltages then try backing down and see if its stable at lower voltages.

Hi,

well, got it stable. I reinstalled XP, but this time I didn't install the INF drivers. The only problem is the AGP performance is really low without them.

Anyone got 845G board stable using both INF and Detonator drivers?

What do you mean the Agp performance is low? I used to use a geforce 2gts with my BG7 and it was fine.

Just wondering, but what is the rest of your system.

Power supply, brand memory, etc.

GF4 Ti4400
480W Truepower PSU
512Mt Samsung PC2700

Without the Intel drivers installed, I score about 8900 points in 3DMark 2001, compared to the nearly 12000 I used to get with P4S533(rest of system was same as with BG7).
