Abit BE6 and 1.3AGhz Celeron w/ Slocket

I have the original BE6 BX board from abit. Was wondering if 1.3A Celeron will work on the BE6 board. I know that the 1.3 Celeron is 100Mhz bus, but i'm not sure if the FCPGA2 will fit on my slocket adapter (S370 to slot1 adapter). Other than the adapter, i'm sure the BE6 can handle the 100Mhz. Anyone try this?

Thanks!

if i get the 1.1A - which is just regular FCPGA, do i have to get that special slocket? or can i just use my existing slocket?

the A denotes Tualatin core celerons.

You need a regular 1.1 Celeron. I wouldnt recommend it, because the any Tualatin based celeron will run circles around regular Celerons.

1.1A is also a Tually. A 1.1 regular is a CuMine. The Tually's are well worth it. They have 256K L2 instead of 128K. They also have data prefetch logic. A nice setup is a C1.4 @ 115 FSB = 1.6 GHz.

Yep, I got a 1.3Ghz celly in there with this Slot-T slocket. My BE6 version 1 is working great, it says it's a P3 1306MHz, close enough. 🙂
