Abit BD7II Will it work with one DDR 333 512Mb chip ?

I was too quick in buying my memory and i saw too late that the board only supports 266 and lower.

If i put in a dimm of 512 Mb ddr (333) will it work without having to tweak anything ?

I am not comfortable with overclocking or deviating from the standards (thats just me)

If i put one in (333) will it run at 266 then or not at all ?

Pls someone help me out with this.

DDR memory is backwards compatable...just as the SDR was.

What processor chip are you using?

The board has a 3:4 memory ratio when set to LOW in the BIOS. This can give you the full potential of the DDR333.

Yes - a 512Mb chip will work. I have a 512Mb samsung chip in mine runnning at DDR400.
