abit av8 putting ram at 333

Hi, I recently purchased my abit av8 to accompany my amd 64 3500+, and a gig of ddr400 ram. When I was fidgeting in the bios, I noticed my ddr400(im 100% sure its ddr400 pc3200) ram was set at ddr333. When changed it to ddr400, my computer wouldnt post until I reseated the ram and reset the CMOS. It's now at 333, and I was wondering if anyone could help me resolve the issue?
 
Are you sure that board isnt an A8V? Becuase if it is, mine did the same thing but worked when I changed it to 400 it worked fine
