I am thinking of putting together a new system. Was looking at getting the new AT8 Motherboard along with the FX-60 processore. I looked on Abits site to see if they were compatible, but could find no info.

Does anyone know if the Fx-60 processor works with the Abit AT8 straight out of the box? There are no bios or driver updates available for the AT8 motherboard, so just want to be sure I won't run into a problem.

If anyone has any info on this, it would be much appreciated!

Youre really gonna buy a fx-60? No offense but, what a waste of money. Get an opteron single or dual core and oc to 2.5-2.9ghz. Wouldnt cost more than $200-$300. :)

But to answer your question, if that mobo doesnt have a bios update yet, im sure it will soon to support it. Id email abit to make sure. I dont see why it wouldnt, its a new motherboard.... It would be pretty dumb of abit to release a new 939 mobo that doesnt support the latest processors.

I'm thinking about getting this Abit AT8 too. I don't see any review for it so I'm still considering.

ditto.. I've been thinking about replacing my eVGA nf41 mobo with it. Hope to see some reviews soon. (and I hope they have better overclocking options and voltages than the ASUS A8R-MVP !!!)
