i have the above mentioned combo running right now at default settings and want to experiment with overclocking the FSB a little to see what i can do with it. in the bios there is no 2400+ setting for my chip, i had to set the setting at greater than 2100+ and reboot and let it find the 2400+ on it's own, which it did. my question is if i mess with the FSB setting will lt mess it up finding the 2400+ multiplier setting? also, how much of an overclock can i expect? i am hoping to take it too 166 FSB to match my PC2700 memory, is that to hopefull? i have the standard heatsink fan that come with the chip installed but have the case off and keep the room at 68 or so, heat will not be a problem. i also run CPUIDLE extreme to keep the temps down too. thank you to all that reply!!! :)

The multi won't change so up the FSB to where you're comfy with the Temps. My guess is it'll go @ 152FSB or there abouts.

Well, my XP 2400 does 205mhz fsb, but I have an nForce2 board, with pci & agp locks. Do you have any idea whether your board has locks? I would bet, though, that since it's an Abit, it definitely has dividers for 166fsb. I would just go directly to 166, and see what happens.:)
