Abit AN9 Fatal1ty

Anything with Fatal1ty in the name is an overpriced, low value for money piece of crap.

From the specs I see, it's got nothing you can't get with any other 590 board, except possibly Firewire ports which you can add with a 10 dollar add-in card.

That's kinda what I thought too. I don't use Firewire anyway. Now what is the difference between 590 and the 570 chipsets ?

Was thinking about purchasing it, but found a few site's stating that some were being recalled due to mishandling and the boards overheating. Anyone know if this has been fixed ? And what do you think of the board in general ? Thanks

I was thinking about getting one for my NEW X2 4000+. The Abit AN9 Fatal1ty SLI is the cheapest NF 590 on newegg right now (~$175.00). I was also thinking about getting GEIL PC2 6400 UDC 1024 kit (non-plus) for $100.00 to pair it up with. Anybody know about either of these products?

Here's a review of the AN9 Fatal1ty SLI @ OCWorkBench

Send some feed back please

only affected certain boards (you can easily find the ser. nos. involved so if your retailer has been doing a good job those affected should have beeen sent back to Abit for replacement)

DriverHeaven seem to think highly of it.
There is also a non-Fatal1ty version.

Yea, I tried to find the NON Fatal1ty version. The retailer is Newegg. And I cant seem to find the part number on there, and the number that is there, is no where near those manu numbers
